Changes to the Kits Subscription Plans: Download Minutes

At Kits, we’re proud to be at the forefront of a brand new technology that’s changing music and audio forever. As with any groundbreaking technology, becoming an expert requires experimentation, trial and error.

Since we released our four subscription tiers - Starter, Converter, Creator, and Composer - we have heard the same feedback time and time again from Starter and Converter users: “By the time I finally get something that sounds how I want it to, I have run out of minutes!” Just like we learn by trial and error, so should our users. 

In the coming week, we will change our minutes system to better reflect this: instead of spending minutes to convert audio, minutes will only be spent when audio is downloaded. With this update, Kits users will be able to experiment freely to get to their perfect conversion. Only once you choose to download that file will your usage be tracked. 

We hope this change can allow everyone to experiment with our AI audio tools to find what works best for them without worrying about potential mistakes and wasted minutes.

A few specific details on the change:

• All conversions before the change will be available for download for all users

• Creator and Composer subscriptions will remain unaffected

• Converters will be able to download 30 minutes of audio per month. When the swap takes place, all Converters will have a fresh 30 minutes of download time available to them.

• Starters will be able to experiment with the entire Kits platform, but will not have access to downloads
